Travel between the standard bicycle transportation service staging point at the Goose Island Brewery and most other facilities and services in Chicago is significantly faster and easier with your bike and/or baggage by CTA L train or taxicab than on foot. The only exceptions are the parking garage, Metra Western station, and the hospital. Directions between the Goose Island Brewery staging point and these locations are provided via the nearest CTA L stations.

Parking
On street parking is extremely limited. You will only be allowed to park there while you are directly loading your bike and baggage and you will not be able to park there for any extended amount of time.

Standard Bicycle Transportation Service
Our friends at Goose Island Beer Company will be letting you drop off your bicycle there on the Friday before the start of RAGBRAI and pick it up there on the Sunday after the end of RAGBRAI for free as part of our our standard bicycle transportation service.

It will be significantly easier and faster to travel from the supported hotel to the standard bicycle transportation service staging point at the Goose Island Brewery using a CTA L train or taxicab instead of walking the entire way with your bike and/or baggage.

Rates and Reservations
You will need to contact the hotel on your own for best the room rates and to make and pay for your individual reservations. We strongly recommend making your reservation as soon as possible to avoid any availability issues from other participants or anyone else, secure the lowest rate, and assure yourself a room!

People and Baggage Transportation Services
All coach busses will load and unload people and their baggage at the Chicago hotel on the Saturday morning before the start of RAGBRAI and/or on the Saturday evening after the end of RAGBRAI

Premium Bicycle Transportation Service
The staging point for our premium bicycle transportation services will take place at the Chicago hotel on the Saturday morning before the start of RAGBRAI and on the Saturday evening after the end of RAGBRAI.

You will still need to register and pay extra for our premium bicycle transportation service on the Saturday morning before the start of RAGBRAI and/or on the Saturday evening after the end of RAGBRAI to have your bicycle loaded directly at the Chicago hotel even if you will be staying there. Otherwise you will need to drop off your bike and/or pick it up yourself as part of our standard bicycle transportation service at the Goose Brewery on the Friday before the start of RAGBRAI or on the Sunday after the end of RAGBRAI.

Chicago Hotel Transportation Staging Point North side of W. Monroe St. between the Kennedy Expressway off ramp and S. Halsted St. Chicago, IL 60661 The transportation service staging point for the Chicago hotel will be on the north side of W. Monroe St. between the expressway off ramp and S. Halsted St. W. Monroe St. is two lanes here so we won't block traffic, and there are no businesses or driveways on this side of the street to interfere with us. Having the coach bus and premium bicycle transporation service staging points here will avoid the tight driveway and hustle and bustle of the main hotel entrance on S. Halsted St.

Online Reservations
If you are planning on parking your car in Chicago long term you should Click Here to purchase your parking reservation online before you arrive. You will be able to enter your specific dates and times and pay online. After you pay you will receive a barcode which you will scan as a one-time entry and one time exit pass at the facility kiosks.

Please note that the rates posted online may vary from the rates posted directly at the parking garage.

Reservations are not necessary but we strongly recommend purchasing your parking reservation online before you arrive to ensure space will be available for your vehicle and to avoid the hassle, uncertainty, and amount of time it takes to pay for your parking directly at the parking garage.

Posted Rates
The posted daily cost for parking in Chicago is $22.00 per weekday and $11.00 per weekend day. Weekend rates are in effect beginning at 4:00 pm Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday. This is about $15.00 per day less expensive than any other lot in the downtown area.

The kiosk will automatically calculate the total amount owed and charge you after you leave based on the ticket you received when you entered. Cash is not accepted.

Long Term Parking
If you park your car long term in Chicago during the week of RAGBRAI, you will need to transport yourself back to the Chicago hotel after you park your car on the Saturday morning before the start of RAGBRAI.

After the end of RAGBRAI, our first stop in Chicago will be directly at the parking garage where we will drop off you (but not your bike or baggage). You will then need to drive back to the Chicago hotel to pick up your bike (if applicable) and your baggage.
