Transportation Staging Points

Our designated transportation staging point(s) in each town are where all our transportation services will occur at and where you will arrive at and/or depart from.

Transportation staging points will typically be at the parking location and/or supported hotel in each town. Additional locations can include train or bus stations, the ride starting or ending locations, or gas stations along the route for mid-route pick ups and drop offs. These locations are specifically selected so you can easily transport your bicycle and baggage to and from our vehicles and also as close as possible to the bus and/or train station(s) as necessary in order to minimize the distance that you need to walk in each town.

All bicycle and baggage loading and unloading will occur at the same transportation staging point unless otherwise noted.

We cannot provide transportation for you to any locations other than our transportation staging points.

Specific information about the transportation staging points for each event will be listed under the information for each specific transportation service for that event.

Multiple Transportation Staging Points
If we have two or more transportation staging points in a town, such as one at the parking location and at the supported hotel, one will be designated as the main transportation staging point and the other(s) will be designated as the second, third, etc.

Main and Other Transportation Staging Points
The main transportation staging point will be where we expect the most participants to arrive at/depart from and we will conduct the transportation staging there first. Other (second, third, etc.) transportation staging point(s) will typically be where participants would not be easily able come over to the main transportation staging point due to long distances, having to carry large baggage etc., such as if you are staying at the supported hotel or if the main transportation staging point is at a bus or train station and you parked your car at a separate parking location. You should plan on arriving at and departing from the main transportation staging point unless there is a specific reason for you not to.

We will come over to the other staging point(s) immediately after we have completed loading or unloading at the main staging point. If you are planning on meeting us at an other transportation staging point you should stay there with your personal items ready to be loaded and wait for us to arrive and do not come over to the main transportation staging point. Not only do we not want you to have to lug your bicycle and baggage all the way to the main transportation staging point or leave them unattended, doing this also helps keep all of our participants in one place and prevents anyone from getting lost or missed. We may attempt to keep in contact with you to let you know our progress and expected arrival time at the staging point if it will vary significantly from plans, but we cannot make any guarantees. However you may always call us at our main phone number (877) TOUR-ILL [868-7455] for our estimated time of arrival, particularly if it seems like we're running significantly later than expected.

We will load or unload items at the other staging point (s) after we have loaded or unloaded all items at the main staging point and loading or unloading will begin promptly after we arrive.
