Changing Lodging Locations
In general, most participants consistently stay
at either the main lodging site or supported hotel
every
night of a multi-day event. However, some participants
choose to change their lodging locations
in the middle of a multi-day event, such as sleeping
a bed
at a supported hotel or because they
are
meeting friends
and/or
family on the way. We can accommodate these types
of lodging plan changes.
You must inform us of all changes of lodging plans
at least one day ahead of time, and we will only
distribute supported hotel baggage delivery tags
at night
and not in the morning.
You may not
decide to change lodging locations either the
morning of the ride or after you arrive at the stopping
town since we will not transport baggage between
the main lodging site
and supported hotel once it has already been
delivered.
It is also a good idea to
also tell the baggage truck driver of your change
of plans
yourself
in the morning
that
day so
he
doesn’t deliver your bags to the wrong location
out of habit.
Main Lodging Site to the Supported
Hotel
If you stayed at the main lodging site the previous
night and will be staying at the supported hotel
the next night it is very important that you place
the supported hotel baggage delivery tags on all your baggage items.
In the morning you will
need to load your bags yourself onto the baggage truck so
that they are the last ones loaded and on top of all the other
bags being transported from the main lodging site.
If your bags are not on top of all the
other bags from the main lodging
site
it is
very
likely that they will be missed when the other baggage
is delivered to the supported hotel.
Supported Hotel to the Main Lodging Site
If you stayed at the supported hotel the previous
night and will be staying at the main lodging
site the next night you should remove
all supported hotel baggage delivery tags from your bags.
In
the morning you will need to verify yourself that your bags are loaded
first onto the baggage truck so that they are on the bottom
of all the other bags being transported from the
supported hotel. If your bags are on top of all the other bags
being transported from the supported hotel it is much more
likely that they will be delivered to the next supported
hotel out of habit, especially if they had been consistently
delivered to the supported hotel previously. |
