Taking the Metra Train
from Waukegan

You can end your ride at rest
stop 4 in Waukegan and take the Metra train
back to
downtown Chicago or up to Kenosha if you want
to don't want to ride all the way to Kenosha
or don't want to
wait for our return transportation
service from Kenosha to depart after the route
closes. The Waukegan
Metra Train
Station is only 0.2 miles from rest
stop 4 and you can
easily walk or ride there under 10 minutes.

Please note that the train schedule may be
different for the Tri-State Tour Chicago Century
#1 and #2.

If you want to take the Metra train back to Chicago
from Waukegan and also still complete a century, you
will still be able to do so by riding up to Kenosha,
stopping
at the rest stop there, then riding back to rest stop
4. Riders who plan on completing a century this way
must
depart Kenosha by 3:00 pm in order to arrive back in
Waukegan by the rest stop closing time.

This schedule corresponds to the times rest stop
4 will be open, except for the train that departs
to Chicago at 5:10 pm (25 minutes after rest stop
4 closes). Even
though this train departs after
rest stop 4 closes, our rest stop attendant will
wait before he departs to make sure everyone
is able to board the 5:10 pm train. If
anyone is not able to board the train he
can still transport them to Kenosha as part of
our normal SAG support service.

both Chicago and Kenosha in case you miss these
