Riding
to the Hammond Hotel the Day Before the Event
|
We STRONGLY recommend
staying at the Hammond hotel the night
before the event if possible. You'll be able
to get a much better night's sleep and feel
much
more
rested
before the ride since you won't have to drive
or ride very far to the starting location in
the morning or feel rushed to check in and
get ready to ride. You'll also be able to meet
many of the participants you'll be riding with
the next day.

Driving
to the Hammond Hotel
If you will be driving your own car to the supported
hotel, you should drive it to the event starting
location the following morning and
park
your car
there
during the event.
You should not ride your bicycle to the Whiting
starting location and leave your car parked at the
supported
hotel during the event because we will
not
stop at the supported hotel as part of our return transportation service, As
a result you will have to bike back there from
the starting location in the dark which will be VERY
dangerous.
Breakfast
The morning of the event you should eat the continental
style breakfast
that begins at 6:00 am and is included with your
reservation at the supported hotel.

start of the event, we strongly recommend doing so
the day
before the event, staying in the supported hotel
that night, and riding the starting location the
next morning.
The ride from the supported hotel to the starting
location is only 3.0 miles, you'll be able

The day before the event will
be a personal transportation day only. We will
not coordinate any group rides to Hammond or provide

you encounter any problems while riding you will
be on your own so we recommend planning
accordingly.
