POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Situations
Justifying SAG Support
SAG
vehicles will only come to your location on the road
if you are unable to ride.
SAG vehicles will not come to adress medical
or mechanical situations of a convenience or comfort
nature that normally arise while cycling.
We expect you to continue riding to the next rest
stop to address these problems if you have a reasonable
ability to do so.
We understand that sometimes it can be a judgment
call if you are unable to ride. Like deciding
whether or not it is appropriate to call an ambulance,
we ask that you use good judgment as to whether or
not it is appropriate to call a SAG vehicle or if
you can wait until you get to the next rest stop.
Remember
if you call
for SAG support and it is not an actual emergency
situation it decreases the likelihood that SAG support
will be available should an actual emergency situation
arise.
Please respect the safety of your fellow cyclists
and ensure the availability of emergency assistance
and do not call SAG drivers unless you are truly
unable to ride. |
