POLICIES
AND PROCEDURES
Breakfast Served by Us
Breakfast
served by us will be continental style. If the main lodging
site is at a school facility, breakfast will usually be
served in the cafeteria area, otherwise it will be served
in a
large multi-purpose type meeting room. There will be
tables and chairs at all facilities for you to be able to
sit down
and eat at.
A rest stop will also be set up directly at breakfast to
stock up on snack items and sports drinks for the upcoming
ride.
If we are doing a group departure, our breakfast will be
served up until 15 minutes before the route opening time
to ensure
you have
enough time
to
pack
your
gear up
and get ready to ride.
Coffee
We will have plenty of hot, very fully caffeinated
coffee available at breakfast (you wouldn't
believe how often we get asked this). OK we know coffee's
not the greatest thing to
drink before you ride, but you will be very tired and our mornings
so start so very, very early. Don't worry, we won't
let anybody know you had a cup or two. And we always need to
drink a couple cups to get going ourselves.

Hot Breakfast Items
Unfortunately we will not be able to provide any hot breakfast
items (bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, etc.) If
you want any breakfast hot items you will need to get them yourself
either at a restaurant in stopping town or in one of the towns
we pass through on the road.

Toasters
Regrettably, we will not be able to offer toasters to toast bagels for three
major reasons.
First, using toasters would take too much time for every participant
to be able to do in a reasonable amount of time in the morning.
and we simply cannot supply enough toasters to accommodate
all participants.
Second, toasters suck a LOT of electricity and if we had too
many toasters going at the same time we could very likely blow
a fuse. Not only would we have to find the fuse box or call
the facility maintenance people to come (if they were even
available that early in the morning) we also do not know what
else we could blow out with that fuse (like the bathroom lights).
Third, we would have to wait a long time before the toasters
cooled down enough for us to safely transport them in our support
vehicles. All in the morning when our number one priority is
getting our stuff together to hit the road as early as possible! |
