Stopping Towns
We chose to start the ride in Hammond, IN because it is
the first town in Indiana over the Illinois/Indiana border.
In addition, it is also very close to our rest stop at Wm.
Powers
Conservation area (Wolf Lake) on the Bicycle Illinois event
and allows the participants of Bicycle
Illinois to easily continue riding on
the Tri-State Tour.
We chose to end the ride in Kenosha, WI because it is is
one of the first towns in Wisconsin over the Illinois/Wisconsin
border.
In
addition, our
ending location in Kenosha is almost directly at the end
of a straight bike path and very easily accessible from major
highways.
Hammond, IN
We will have a supported hotel set up in Hammond and an in-town cue sheet and
map centered around the supported hotel that will show safe routes
to the event starting location,
a
swimming
pool, bike shop, laundromat, grocery store, and hospital in Hammond.
