Century Options

Century options are just that – options. You do not ever have to ride a century option if you do not want to. They are intended to challenge more advanced cyclists and not a required part of any event.

Century options are set up at the end of the day, rather than the beginning, because this is the most appropriate time to make the best decision about whether or not you can physically complete the century or complete it by nightfall. We want you to complete every day’s ride and not have to be transported in a support vehicle because you did the century option when in fact you shouldn’t have.

All century options have been designed so that you will always complete the century if you complete the century option regardless of any other options you had previsously ridden that day.
