We highly recommend using the services of our supporting bike shops when shipping your bicycle rather than doing any part of it yourself because they make the shipment process significantly easier and more convenient.

Not only will your bicycle be waiting for you when you arrive, you won't have to worry about accomplishing everything necessary to ship your bike in time and you can always talk to a real live person in case of questions or problems.

Specific information about bicycle shipments to and from our supporting bike shop in each stopping town will be listed under the information for that specific bike shop.

Before the start of an event, all of our supporting bike shops will be able to receive in your bicycle shipment, unbox it, and guarantee that they will reassemble it to pre-ship condition and it will be ready to ride when you pick it up. They can also fix or replace anything that may have been lost or broken in shipment.

Before the start of the event, if you shipped your bicycle in a cardboard box they will discard it for you. If you are using a hard, reusable bicycle shipping container and you will be shipping it into and out of the same bike shop before and after the event, they may be able to store it there instead you having to transport it with you during the event itself. After the end of an event, all of our supporting bike shops will be able to disassemble your bicycle, box it up, and ship it out. In addition, most bike shops will provide you with a free cardboard bicycle box as part of their disassembly and boxing service if you do not provide your own hard, reusable bicycle shipping container yourself.

  • Click Here for more information about bicycle shipping containers.

In Chicago, some of our transportation services depart before or very soon after the Chicago bike shop opens. As a result we can pick up and/or drop off your bicycle and hard, reusable shipping container (if applicable) there for you for an additional fee.

Inbound Shipments
Call our supporting bike shop in the receiving town and talk to the repair department to schedule a boxed bicycle build.

You will need have your bicycle disassembled, boxed, and shipped to our supporting bike shop in the receiving town on your own. If you do not have your own reusable hard shipping container make sure to secure one early - do not wait until the week before the event!.

Outbound Shipments
Call our supporting bike shop in the outgoing town and talk to the repair department to schedule a bicycle disassembly and boxing.

If you were not able to leave your own hard, reusable bicycle shipping container at the bike shop during the event you should verify whether or not you need to provide a cardboard shipping container yourself.

Depending on the schedule of the supporting bike shop it can take up to a week for our supporting bike shop to disassemble and ship out your bicycle. This does not include the transit time to your local shop.

You will need to make arrangements to your bicycle received, unboxed, and reassembled on your own.
