If you need to get your car from the long term parking in Chicago we will watch your baggage while you do so.

Parking at the ending location in Chicago will only be allowed while you are immediately loading your bike and baggage and you will not be able to park there for any extended amount of time.

A shower will be available directly at the ending location in Chicago but it is a public, open air shower used for rinsing off after going swimming and not a private, enclosed shower. You will only be able to rinse yourself off however and not bathe nude.

The daily cost for long term parking in Chicago will be $10 per day. This is about $15 per day less expensive than any other lot in the downtown area.

Reservations are not necessary to park your car in Chicago.

You must bring a personal check or cashier’s check with you for the full amount of the long term parking (do not bring cash – they cannot accept it). This is because the automatic ticket machine can only dispense tickets for the current day, not the entire week. The parking company will have a representative available to issue parking passes for Bicycle Illinois participants.

Our supported hotel in Chicago is in the heart of downtown Chicago and very close to the ending point of the tour. Staying there can be perfect way to allow your tired and sore muscles to rest and recover from a challenging week of cycling and perfect if you would like to extend your event as part of a weekend getaway in the city! The Chicago hotel is within easy walking distance of the museum campus, State Street shopping are and the central downtown business and theater district.

Room blocks will not be available, you will need to call for the best rate. We strongly recommend calling early due to potential availability issues from major summer events, festivals, or celebrations or anyone else.

You should only make reservations at the Chicago Hotel on Friday night if you are not continuing on the Tri-State Tour and taking the Transportation Service to the Start on Saturday.

You should only make reservations at the Chicago Hotel on Saturday night if you are continuing on the Tri-State Tour and taking the Transportation Service from Chicago on Sunday.

Bicycle Shipments to and from the Chicago Bike Shop

Kozy's is very familiar with receiving and shipping boxed bicycles since they are also the supporting bicycle shop for the Chicago Triathlon. If you have any questions regarding bicycle shipments please call Kozy's directly and they will be happy to assist you.

You should ship your bicycle via UPS directly to and from the address listed above. The main UPS Chicago hub is only about a mile away from Kozy's and Kozy's has had problems with other carriers, especially DHL.

Outgoing Bicycle Shipments from Kozy's (After the End of the Event)
For outgoing bicycle shipments from Kozy's after the end of the event you should call Kozy's to let know know about your bicycle shipment plans and e-mail a pre-arranged UPS shipping tag to 811@kozy.com. You should include in the e-mail:

• Your name
• Your shipment address (the address your bike will be shipped to)
• A description of your bike so Kozy's can easily indentify your bike

Your boxed bicycle will be shipped directly from Kozy's.

Services the Green, Orange (from Midway airport), and Red lines. For the Blue line (from O'Hare airport), take the Red line north and transfer to the Blue line at the Jackson station.
