The facility is air conditioned.

Pitching tents is not allowed directly in front of the entrance to the main lodging site because we need to have open support vehicle access to load & unload event support gear and supplies. We had a problem in the past where a participant's bag got run over when we were moving support vehicles at night and we don't want that to happen again.

The lights in the hallways outside the gym are motion activated and stay on for at least 20 or 30 minutes. In other words if anyone goes to the bathroom or gets a drink of water in the middle of the night the lights will go on. We have looked into it and there is no way to turn these lights off since they are hard wired security lights. Therefore everyone will stay in the main gym and not in the commons area.

You can order any pasta dish from the counter except lasagna or pizza.

All rooms: $79.00 plus tax

Call to make a reservation under the "Bicycle Illinois" room block. The room block will be held until June 3rd, 20xx.

The hotel has a swimming pool but no whirlpool, and does have laundry machines available.

The owner Tricia will also be on call for after hours emergency support via her personal cell phone which will be distributed directly to participants only.

The bike shop in Carbondale is located directly across the street from the Amtrak train station which may be extremely convenient if you are taking one of our transportation services to Cairo the before the start of the event, arriving in or departing from Carbondale on a partial day trip, or planning on having your bike boxed and shipped to the start of the event or to or from Carbondale.

There will be a fee of $2.00 per day for long term parking in Carbondale. You will need to pay for all of the days in advance while the station is open and post your receipt in the window of your vehicle so you do not get ticketed or towed.
