Long term parking is available in every one of our stopping towns except Cairo!
It will be your own responsibility to inform us of your long term parking

Fees
Long term parking fees are not included in registration, you must pay for them
on your own where necessary.

You will need to download this sign, fill in the appropriate information, and
leave it in plain view on your dashboard or windshield if you plan on parking
your car long term in any stopping town.

Long Term Parking
Locations
The long term parking location in every nightly stopping town except
Chicago will either be directly at or very close to the Amtrak train station.
This is because our primary means of transportation between every stopping
town is the Amtrak
train.
Having the long term parking at the Amtrak train station makes it easier
to do a mid-route pick up or drop off or partial day trip since it eliminates
you
having to transport yourself, your bicycle, and your baggage all at the same
time between the Amtrak train station and the long term parking location
at least
once.
In
addition, of you are taking our transportation service from Chicago after
the end of the event you won’t have to won't have to transport yourself,
your bicycle, or your baggage to your car from the Amtrak train station after
you arrive.
We will not have the capability of transporting your bicycle and/or baggage
between the Amtrak train station and the main lodging site or supported hotel.
Safe cycling routes between the Amtrak train station, long term parking,
main lodging site, and supported hotel are shown on the in-town cue sheets
and maps and satellite imagery for each stopping town. In addition, you can
arrange to use the shuttle service provided by Events Bike Ride Services

transportation such as local busses or a taxicab.
Here is the best way to transport your bike and baggage to and/or from the
long term parking locations:
- Arrival at the Main Lodging Site. If you are staying at the
main lodging site, drive there and leave your baggage (but not your bike)
there after the tour arrives so your bags are not left unattended. Then
drive back to the Amtrak train station with your bike, park your car, and
ride your bike back to the main lodging site or supported hotel.
- Arrival at the Supported Hotel. If you are staying at the supported
hotel, drive there and drop off your bags at the front desk or in your
room. Then drive back to the Amtrak train station with your bike, park
your car, and ride your bike back to the main lodging site or supported
hotel.
- Departures. After you arrive at the main lodging site at the
end of that day's ride, bike to the Amtrak train station. Pick up your
car, drive back to the main lodging site with your bike and pick up your
baggage. Make sure that your bags do not have the hotel baggage delivery
tags on them or they will be delivered to the supported hotel.
Chicago
This option is most popular for people who take the transportation service to
Carbondale and Cairo before the start of the event. You will drive to Chicago,
leave your car there, take
the transportation service to Carbondale and Cairo before the start of the
event, and pick your car up after the end of the event.

Carbondale
This option is most popular for people who take the transportation service
from Chicago after the end of the event. You will drive to Carbondale, leave
your car there, take the transportation service from Carbondale to Cairo
before the event, the transportation service from Chicago after
the end of the
event, and pick up your car directly at the Carbondale train station after
the end of the event.

Cairo
Long Term Parking will not
be available in Cairo. If you
want to leave your car parked
long term at the start of the
event you will need to park it
at
the Carbondale Amtrak train station
and take our transportation
service from Carbondale to Cairo before the start of
the event.

a a partial day tour or mid-route pick up or drop off for our transportation
