Differences Between Bicycle Illinois and the Tri-State Tour

Fewer services and merchandise items are included on the Tri-State Tour so there are some significant differences between the two events that you will need to be aware of.

In Town Facilities and Services
You will need to make reservations at the supported hotel in Hammond since we will not have indoor and/or outdoor lodging available at a main lodging site facility such as a school or community center.

We will not provide or coordinate dinner on Friday or Saturday, but the supported hotel is located on a major street and plenty of restaurants will be available for dinner. Plenty of taxicabs are available as well for additional options.

Long term parking will not be available in Hammond.

Events Bike Ride Services will not provide services for the Tri-State Tour such as massage therapy or towel service.

However, a swimming pool and supporting bike shop, laundromat, grocery store, and hospital will be vailable in Hammond as well as an in-town map and cue sheet listing routes bewtheen these locations and the supported hotel.

On Road Services
The rest stops will only be about 14 miles apart on the Tri-State Tour.

Registration for the Tri-State Tour will not include a box lunch. If you want a box lunch, you will need to purchase it separately during registration.
