Transportation Service Overview

Hi everyone, we are excited to announce that we will be partnering with Amtrak to be able to offer a new transportation service next year for you, your bicycle, and your baggage from downtown Chicago to the Apple Cider Century in Three Oaks, MI - about 75 miles from Chicago or an hour and a half without traffic.

Our downtown Chicago staging location would be easily accessible from all public transportation options and parking will be available nearby.

We are still determining the logistics of how this might work so please fill out this survey without regard to what the service might cost.

Get an idea of the % of people who would want to do what logistic option

Look at incorporating hotels in new Buffalo for next year if enough interest. Hotels are VERY expensive $200-$300 per night during the event.

What train would people want to take?
When would people want to bring their bikes before the start?
When would people want to pick up their bikes after the end?
What ride distance would you plan on riding? (15, 25, etc.)

One of the things we need to determine is if we should depart Chicago on Saturday (for people staying in the Three Oaks area before the ride) or VERY early on Sunday morning. If there's enough interest, we may offer options for both departure times.

All participants will depart Three Oaks and return to Chicago on Sunday afternoon/evening after the end of the ride.
